Anmerkungen zur Variabilität des dunklen Flügelfleckes bei Calopteryx splendens splendens HARRIS

Abstract

Wing-patches of males in Calopteryx splendens splendens HARRIS 1782 are compared with
one another. Variability reaches from nearly transparent wings to broadly marked ones. There is no
correlation with wing-measures, which differ in hw from 2,8-3,25 (length : width) in these wings.
Determination of some subspecies will be problematical by this patch also when including zoogeographically
aspects and the fact of homeochromic females.
